It may be true that Mr Change has been occupied by other priorities but even then I don't think anyone will ever care about legal aliens who pays Taxes every year. US won't get anything if they issue GCs to us. Remember they have to tackle unemployment in US if they issue GCs to every H1/L1. It's the gimmick just like any other tricks that US paly around the world. They lure best talent to US with GCs etc etc but what they really need is Taxes (and ofcourse some talent) from us which they are anyway getting.
Please read they way US brought african americans and chinese people few hundred years ago and used them like anything.
So guys and girls, take it easy...if they want to issue GCs they can change the policy overnight just by one signature and issue GCs rightway. But they NEVER do since they are getting what they wanted to.

I checked 2007 return and it has only 100K asset. I am not sure we accumulated 350K since then. I think you got confused with revenue vs. cash on hand / asset.

I'm not getting what's your point. All I am telling this guy and others that I need some statistics and why it is important to me. I have seen my friends refinancing, received mixed results.
Few say, can not approve loan because of temproary status (They have no answer for why they allowed last year when purchasing the home).
Same guys were able to get it done thru other banks.
EAD - is not popular as H1B in the financial area. They don't understand. You have to give this as a supporting document along with your H1B Visa and I-797.

I was wondering which center my PERM app will go? Atlanta or Chicago? My co is detroit based. I am just filing now, so if it goes to chicago, there is a chance that I can file my I-140 before 1st October deadline (assuming the new CIR becomes law) .

Don't expect anything from Nebraska Service Center today. Somebody from who live few minutes away from NSC said that the parking lot at NSC is empty today. Yesterday, she saw that it was full from 7 to 12 nn but was empty in the afternoon.
What we can expect is only automatic LUDs. No overtime work for NSC. Have they used up all the FY2007 visas? They must have....if not, this fact can be used against them when we file a complain.

is there any way, any way in this whole freakin process, that we can get some sort of explanation for eb3-I first hand from DOS or USCIS? i mean there needs to be some justification for the acts? i know there are laws to interpret these dates, but how do we know that those laws are interpreted correctly by DOS or USCIS? though i am in eb3-I , jan 2003, i personally know atleast 3 folks who are in 2002 - eb3-I. Can we get some sort of guidance here.

Thank you 'lazycis' for reconfirming this. Just 2 weeks back I used to think that keep working on H1B is lot safer than using EAD :o
H1B petition can be revoked automatically if a) employer notifies USCIS that the petition is withdrawn or b) employer goes out of business. See 8 CFR 214.2.(b)(11). So yes, EAD is much safer in this regard. Revoked H1B petition cannot be used for transfer/extension. It's nice to have H1B as a fallback, but it's not a safe heaven.

I got an email saying that "On December 2, 2010, we ordered production of your new card" today. Me and my wife both got emails. Our wait (green in our life) for so many years came to a very happy end. My hearty wishes to all the friends who have been waiting in the queue to have best of luck.

Hi all .. I am not writing this post to disagree with any one on any thing. I am very respectful of the members who participate this forum and write their suggestions/comments/ideas... Specially when I know people who are facing the same problem but do not make any efforts to solve it or join IV.
In the same lines .. my opinion , we probably need more followers and implementers who can direct IV core suggested plans.
Actively participating the Forum and visiting the web site regulary is one of the actions called for from Pappu (IV Core), you are all doing, I did that. There are other action items that need be implemented by who ever has ability, time and can direct others.
BOTTOM LINE, YOU FOLKS BRING UP INTERESTING IDEAS AND DEBATE TO THE FORUM .. PLEASE KEEP IT UP.
