Recently renewed NJ DL with EAD and expired I-94 (Paroled). Following documents were produced at Kilmer Rd DMV:
1) Current unexpired NJ DL
2) Passport with expired I-94 (Paroled)
3) EAD
4) SSN card
5) Address Proof (utility bill)
DL renewed until EAD expiry date PLUS 3 months.

I am still confused in regards to who whould be eligible for a visa number.
For instance (assumption:all other factors same for both A and B(name check, country etc)

So under present circumstances when everything is current, who whould get alloted a visa number first??

I emailed them not as me but as my employer( point of contact mentioned in the labor petition) and it works they send me a copy of the labor approval to my house along with a copy to my employer and one to my attroney. It really works.
Could you please give more details of your case.
How long was is pending?
How long did it take for you to get the approval after your email?

Only EB2-NIW (National Interest Waiver) even currently requires 10 years of work experience in the relevant field at the time of filing this is the category that does not require labor and van be self filed. The exceptional ability refers to Non US Masters folks Bachelors + 5 Years, now looks like this is bachelors + 10 years. The memo is currently not implemented Smuggymba I believe you should push your case in premium processing, probably you are not impacted though as you have a US masters (MBA). But there is no guarantee that they will not review all cases at the time of 485 once again. This memo / revised guidelines are indeed extremely scary. My wife's DL renewal is pending for more than 2 months...When we contacted DMV they said its pending clearance from DHS (homeland security) and it could take take 120+ days to get their approval.
Has anybody encountered this recently?

No. It is true to some extent that we are paying more taxes.
Take my case for example. My kid is not an American citizen. She moved with us when she was a baby and H-4 status. So she cannot obtain social security number that is good for "authorized to work". Without the SSN, we were not eligible for certain child tax credit, which was hundreds of dollars. I tried ITIN but I got a formal response from IRS that the child needs to have a SSN to be eligible for the credit.
If you ever filed your tax return yourself and have a kid, you will know what I mean.

thus one can say lack of social security numbers for spouse and kids of a high skilled immigrant waiting for gc causes sevaral administrative and taxation issues.

In the guideline for interpreting the dates USCIS hasn't mentioned anything about PD being current. So I think they process applications regardless of PD being current or not

With the economy turning out the way it is I wonder when we will get our next opportunity to bring our issues to Lawmakers notice and ask them to work on our issues. We need to speak up now and we need $$ to fund our organization. I was talking to my mentor syesterday and he is on the board of directors of an organization. He was mentioning to me that if people are losing Jobs, not able to pay their mortgages and struggling to pay for gas and food all other issues will be put on the back burner and the focus on immigration related issues might go down. I am still trying to sink that into my head
