Just a thought that as we have seen that the current president is know for taking quick decisions. Is there anyway we can get his attention to our cause. Does White house have a fx no# ? Send him faxes etc. and send to all presidential candidates too like Clinton, Obama to etc.
I think all the democratic candidates will take this issue as a failed system by Rep party in their debate

Hello,
I have a RFE for my 485 according to the online status. My PD is current, and NSC's 485 processing time is now July 19, 07. My 485 RD was July 25, 07, so it is likely that they are working on adjudicating my case (and could have approved if there were no RFE).
I am still waiting for the RFE in the mail to know what it is exactly. But, assume that I fulfill their request and mail them the required items immediately, will I need to wait another 6 months before they check my RFE fulfillment? Or do they usually look at the RFE immediately (since they are already working on my case)...

Hello,
I have an approved I140 and eligible to apply for I485. My wife is in the same situation.
Should we file separate? Or should I file only one application heither through my employer or hers?
Any clarification in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi mkrao, I received an email from CRIS today stating that my I-140 and I-485 is transferred to Washington, DC local office as well. Have you received any update on your case?

USCIS reports that 1000 H-1Bs were receipted over the past week with 34,500 now counted. 400 masters cap cases were added bringing the total to 13,000 in that category. That's about on pace with the last several weeks and the exhaustion target in that category remains February 2011. My methodology is simple. I take a rolling average of usage over the last four weeks and then project out in how many weeks the quota will be used up if that pace continues. I am in L2 visa right now and I have an EAD to work. I got a job that I need to start on oct 01.
My spouse status will change from L1 to H1B from oct 01, as his employer filled for H1B.
Our L1 & L2 are valid until Aug 2011.
I don't have H4 yet.
What are the various options available for me to work?
1. Can I use my EAD to work which is valid until aug 2011?
2. Can I apply for H1B for me? If yes when I can start working with my H1B.
3. Is there is any way to maintain my husband L1 status until it's validity(Aug 2011) and then switching to H1B after L1 expires?
